From prickly to inner strength: turning emotional hazards, less-than-delightful past experiences and unwanted self-defence into structures that give you strength, nourish and support your growth.
A couple of days ago, I received an e-mail from the journal Nature with a link to this article:

What fun!
Here in the UK we use spike traps designed to keep birds from areas. deny access, keep them from getting comfortable,
– and I like to think we’re at least as smart as a bird.
It’s a lovely little metaphor for how the hostile architecture, events and psychological leftovers in our lives can be repurposed into something functional that makes us stronger and helps us grow.
We also took the opportunity to explore perspective, putting things further away or getting a ‘birds’ eye’ view of them, for better information, planning and decision making.
All wrapped up in a gift of deep and enjoyable relaxation. What a journey!
