What would it be like if you woke up, looked around, and realised that time has indeed moved on. Things are not as they used to be. It’s time to let go of some of that protection and live in the present.

Enjoy this week’s MindSpa Adventure: Spring Awakening …

A bit more experimental this week. I had an idea I wanted to express, and I’m curious what you make of it.

I’ve had my head down and focused on survival for a while. Tuesday was different, though …

As I was walking through the park today, I realised there were so many changes to notice:
different bird calls;
people out in brighter clothes, sitting on blankets, enjoying themselves;
warm sun on skin;
cherry blossom, its pale pink and white petals, contrasted against new green life;
at last, a rich brilliant blue sky.

After weeks of wind, rain, storms, it doesn’t just look different. It feels different.

Release. A gradual return of warmth. Muscles unclenching after holding on so tight for so long.


These signs have been all around for a while. Reminders of the passing of winter, the procession of seasons. It got me thinking:

I wonder what else I’d been holding on to,

that it’s time now to let go of it —

and, when I look around, what signs are already here

to remind me that I’ve moved on. A new season.
